The Coach Downey Memorial Scholarship is meant to offer financial assistance to a graduating Saintsman in their pursuit of higher education. All seniors in good standing at St. Augustine HS are encouraged to apply. One winner will be selected. Winners will receive a one-time award of $1,500.00 to support their college education at any university, community college, or similar institution. 

​Applications for the 2024-2025 Coach Downey Memorial Scholarship open on March 31, 2025 and will close May 4, 2025. The scholarship is open to all graduating seniors in good standing at Saints. Please read the application requirements and how to complete your application.
Timeline 
  • March 31, 2025: Application open for submittal.
  • May 4: Application closes at midnight.
  • May 12: Scholarship winner announced via email. ​ ​​
Eligibility Requirements
  • Open to all graduating seniors in good standing at St. Augustine HS.
  • The scholarship may be used to support an individuals college education at any university, community college, or similar institution.​​
Applying for the Scholarship
  • You will need digital copies of the following materials:
  • (1) Unofficial transcript from Saints with your cumulative GPA and
  • (2) One letter of recommendation from any individual, except a family member.

Complete the Google Form Application which includes submitting a personal statement about why you believe you are a good candidate to receive the scholarship.
